July 12th, 2008

12:30PM the meeting started with the pledge of allegiance being recited. There were 107 people present at the meeting, with 24 of them being new people signing up on that day. The state director Joe "Butch" Doren was present, with his wife Nancy and 2 other Bald Eagle Chapter members (I believe they were Frank and Bob).

Everyone was signing and turning in Liability waivers before the meeting. This is a new policy of the club. They are good for one year, and must be done if anyone wishes to visit even for a  day. See the Secretary for a copy if you were not at this months meeting to sign and turn in.
 


Minutes of the last meeting were read, here is a summary of some of the items:

There is to be NO motorized equipment in the creek, period.

Calvin is watching what the EGPA is doing to get a dredging permit for there property, in PA. They are at the point of doing a demonstration with the DEP and other government organizations, this demonstration was to have taken place on July 11th, 2008. The demonstrations were with a 4" dredge and a 2" dredge.

Keith is/will be getting a cable for the other entrance, with lock.

Ohio Chapter has invited us to the Swank property for Labor Day, there annual Gold Rush days. They are also having a trip next year to "Thermal City" A deposit is due march 1st, 2009 and the trip will be April 24 thru 26 2009. See there website for more information.

Last months work party has created the beginning of a road along side the creek for people to use with the hopes of opening up more camping sites that can be used.
